Restoration is a detailed and delicate process that returns your painting to its former condition . At times a painting may require thorough cleaning and re-varnishing. Other times a painting may contain holes, tears and/or flaking paint. These all need to be handled by a skilled restorer.

I restore oil and acrylic paintings on canvas and other surfaces.
I will advise you of the best method to effectively restore your art pieces.


Restoration may include the following services:

Cosmetic treatment
Neutralizing cleaning and removal of surface dirt,
stains, wall paint, smoke, bacterium, etc.
Removal of old linseed oil and yellowing varnishes.
Application of protective layer and final varnishing.

Restoration work
Removal of improperly over-painted and fixing
of unprofessionally repaired paintings.
Restoration & repairs to badly cracked paintings.
In-filling and repainting missing areas and badly damaged areas.
Repairing of dents, scrapes, scratches and flaking paint.

Structural Treatment
Lining or adding a new canvas backing to torn or damaged paintings.
Auxiliary support
Re-stretching
Repairing of holes, tears, dents, scrapes and scratches.

The cost of restoration is on an estimate basis only and will be provided but no firm undertaking of the price or results can be given without a physical examination of the artwork concerned.

All jobs are performed in my studio.
